Very easy to assemble and exactly what I needed. The packaging was minimal and easy to unpack. It took about 15 minutes to assemble and the directions were easy to follow. I assembled this by myself with no issues.
Q: Hi - from reading the description, it seems like the foundation has no springs inside; only slats, is that correct?
Also: how firm is the foundation by itself? Does it have any give to it?

A: You are correct. The foundation has slats but no springs. The slats have some give to them as it isn't a solid platform, although they are exceptionally supportive as we use wider slats than normally found in foundations at 2.5 inch spaced 2 inches apart

A: A Happsy king foundation is designed to accommodate a standard king size mattress which will be 76 x 80 inches, with the foundation that size. The Happsy foundation is about 7 inches in height. All support pieces are untreated, unfinished pine, with the sides upholstered with GOTS-certified organic cotton fabric and fill. The foundation uses wooden slats attached with nylon strapping.

A: Your daughter's Happsy can rest on a number of surfaces as long as they provide adequate support. You do not need the Happsy foundation but we provide it as an option if you have a traditional bed frame. Additionally, the Happsy foundation provides much more support than traditionally found in foundations as we use wider slats at 2.5 inches spaced closer together at only 2 inches apart.
